Prayer Request for Mom

Mom has been having “episodes” this week, and am requesting prayer for Mom, Dad, and myself.

She has come up with me another “little sister,” and we must get her into school, get her school supplies, school clothes, etc…  She is calling me every five minutes of the day, until way past bedtime.  (I did not need that sleep anyways.  Makes me lazy:>)

We finally gave her, her sleep medication last night, so we could get her to quiet down.  Am calling the doctor today, to see if we can get some medication for her anxiety, and see if we can get her through this “episode,” peacefully.

I thank you all for your prayers, and will keep you posted.  No matter what, she “never quits being a mother:>)”  God Bless, SR

Thank you so much Biltrix. On my way to the tub, and then am going up there. Going to get her some puzzles as she loves to work them, and some magazines and see if we can get her to calm down a little. Awaiting the doctor’s call for the meds. She gets so anxious when she cannot find my “new sister:>)” Again, thanks for prayers and God Bless, SR

  2. Hang in there, SR. Prayers for you and your family <3

      Hey 8 Kids,

Thank you so much for prayers. Am hanging girl, am hanging:>) On my way up there. As I told Biltrix am going to go and get her some puzzles and magazines. She will sit and work those 500 piece puzzles, so hopefully I can get her to focus on something else. Thanks again for prayers and comment. God Bless, SR

  3. Teresa Rice says:

Hang in there SR. Your mom, dad, and you are in my prayers. I hope the puzzles help. God Bless.

      Hey Teresa,

Am hanging! Thanks so much for prayers. We got her some Xanax to calm her down and the puzzles and magazines helped. I just got off of the phone with Dad and he said that she rested most of the afternoon. I am sure meds made her a little sleepy also. But she needed to sleep as she has been roaming at night for about three nights now. I took them some pizza and salad for lunch and they had enough left for supper tonight, so he did not have to mess with that. Am a little sleepy myself as the phone calls have been coming in from her at all hours. Hopefully all of us can rest tonight! Again thanks for prayers and comment. Love you and God Bless, SR

You are all in my prayers.

    • SR says:

      Hey Reinkat,

Thanks so much for prayers. As I told Teresa we got her some meds for the anxiety. She invents these “kids” then when she cannot find them, her “anxiety” level gets so high! The Xanax has truly seemed to help her this afternoon. I have not received one phone call this afternoon and I left up there about three. She was calling like ten times or more every thirty minutes. I just kept my phone in my pocket:>) Again thanks for prayers, love you, and God Bless, SR

  5. Lyn says:

Oh SR! Naomi Feil has so many good suggestions for situations like this, I urge you to get her book about validation therapy. Sometimes entering into your Momma’s world and helping her walk through what she feels she needs to do can be so beneficial. “You loved your little sister, didn’t you? I bet you were a huge help to your Momma, and you got good practice for raising your own children! You are a wonderful Momma, and your children grew up to know how to love one another because of such a wonderful example.” and while you are talking, give her something to do with her hands…puzzles are a great idea!

    • SR says:

      Hey Lyn,

Am going to Barnes and Nobles tomorrow and hopefully they have the book. Thanks so much for the reference. We try and keep her hands busy most of the time, as she does the “finger thing” with placing both hands together and then tapping all of her fingers. She liked the puzzles, read her magazines, and then went to sleep. Hopefully we will all have a good night. Again thanks for the book and comment. God Bless, SR
